“Leftover Miracles”; sermon by Jeffrey Sartain, July 26, 2015

“For some of us that [invitation] will come as a call to acts of social justice: breaking down barriers, ending homelessness, dismantling racism, or liberating the oppressed. For others the invitation may come less stridently. Some feel the invitation to give of their wealthy more freely. Your call might be to find a more tender heart with someone they have not been able to forgive. Yet someone else will be called to sit quietly with an elder, or mentor a child, or to commit yourself to pray for others—which is no small gift to be sure . . .,” Jeffrey Sartain, from “Leftover Miracles,” his sermon on Sunday, July 26, 2015.
